Alasdair is co-founder and managing director of Socialudo. He is also Professor of Social Statistics at the University of Stirling. Alasdair leads the management and administration of Socialudo, as well as overseeing game design.

Trained as an economist, he has worked in the both the third sector, start-ups and academia for the past 25 years. Alasdair also sits on the Scottish Third Sector Research Forum and the NCVO Research Advisory Group. He is a board member of the Stirling Carers Centre, and has previously sat on the trustee boards of Age Scotland, Hanover Scotland; the Bumblebee Conservation Trust; and the Broomhouse Centre.

    What’s your favourite game?

  • "I would love to be able to speak any language. I really enjoy travelling, but I'm always embarrassed that my foreign language ability is so limited. Being able to speak and understand any where I went would be amazing!"

    If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

  • "Playing board games of all sorts is definitely my main hobby. I love playing new games, but unfortunately I still have a 'shelf of shame' with games not yet played!"
